How does a kid/child in Sims 2 live alone without any adults?

U need to trap the adults in a room with a fireplace (MAKE SURE IT IN BACK YARD OR U COULD BURN UR HOUSE!) Then u get one to light the fire place and get into a corner next to the fireplace. Get the adult in there to call over all the adults but not the child. Then when all of them are in pause the game and fill the room with trash cans. Take out the door and just wait. The trash cans will catch fire and so will the ppl. Voila! They dead and kid is all alone 
.
P.S.- try to make the room as small as u can but to make sure that u can feet all the adults and about 5 trash cans. Make sure that one trashcan is touching the fireplace and that there is at least one trashcan touching the one on fire. Hope this helps
