Nasal Aspirator

How to clean nasal aspirator?
I have a blue nasal aspirator that I got from the hospital when my son was born, and I’m curious as to how to clean it.
And ideas??
Fill the sink with a few inches of hot soapy water. Use the aspirator to “suck up” the water. Shake it around a bit and squeeze the water back out. Repeat until you feel it’s clean. Then do the same with hot water without soap to rinse.
