Hydrocortizone cream on a babys face?

My daughter who is 2 next month has very dry cracked skin on her checks, she has some mild eczema on her body that doesn’t require hydrocortizone, but it is the only thing that makes any difference with her face. I am wary about using it and only do about twice a week (i use e45 cream a few times each day), although i have been told this is ok by my GP. She is teething at the moment which i think is making it worse, and it is also worse in the winter because of the heating/cold weather. What is your opinion on this?

I have used it before on my daughter’s face. She has terrible reactions to mosquito bites in the summer time, they just welt up on her like crazy. She always seems to get one or two bites on her face every year no matter how much “Skin So Soft” I use. Her pediatrician told me it was ok to use hydrocortizone on her face, just be careful of the eyes and mouth and to use it sparingly. It sounds like she should be fine the way you are describing.

I’m about to be a great granny for the first time. I want to purchase a booster type high chair?

which are so different from what my generation used. I’d really appreciate feedback on what is a good one. I’ve seen a Fisher Price Healthy Care Deluxe Booster Seat which is similar to what the mom picked out for her registry. Since I have no idea how safe they are or anything about them, any feed back at all would be appreciated. I will of course check for recalls before I purchase. Thank you.

Both sets of grandparents have the Fisher Price Healthy Care Deluxe – it’s perfect! It’s easily wiped down and stored and then can be strapped on securely to any chair when we come over. When we go on vacation/camping we always borrow one to take with us. It’s not great for infants, but when they’re not able to sit up on their own, they’re not eating yet anyway. It’s perfect starting around 6 months, when you start them on runny cereal. My almost 4 year old uses it as a booster (we removed the back, tray, and seatbelt).

For the other person who recommended the Fisher Price Space Saver, that’s the one we use in our house, it’s padded and tilts back to allow for a baby to feed himself a bottle. However, despite the fact it straps onto a chair and comes in neutral colors, it’s large to store. If you were going to take care of your grandchild daily or at least often enough to leave it attached all the time and don’t need the chair for entertaining, then it’s a great option. However, for the occasional visit – go for the healthy care deluxe booster.
